Brief Answer:
I will suggest you stop this ointment. Please, send a picture to me as well

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this inflammation you have reported around penis outlet. For sure it could be due to a fungus but that cannot be confirmed without examination.. If this were due to fungus, the betamethasone cream would definitely not be a great way to approach this. I will suggest that you stop this for now. I will like to review an image. Do you have any itches on this area? Is is white in color? These would help in narrowing down the possibilities.

ANd finally, has there been any improvement since starting the ointment?

I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Dr. Ditah,
I have now stopped using the prescribed cream, as there has been no improvement using it. Unfortunately I am unable to send a picture. However I will describe the area. The entire urinary opening is inflamed with a light pink border. The bottom portion of the penis opening is a darker brown. No itching in the area. I do have intermittent, very low grade pain in the area. No itches.

Thank you for such a timely response.

In reply to your questions. No itching in area and no white coloration.
Coloration is light pink around top 2/3 of opening and dark brown at bottom 1/3 of
urinary canal opening.
Thank you for such a timely reply,
XXXX

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for this detailed description. Unfortunately, seeing and image means so much for a physician.

To upload an image, look to the right of your dashboard and click on the icon to upload a file. Follow the instructions on the screen and get an image to us. I promise to review and get back to you. Without which, am afraid I may not be very spot on and specific in my response.

Thanks and hope to hear from you!
