What Causes Increased Redness At The Infection Site After Using Triben Powder?
Question: I have been prescribed Triben cream to be used with Triben powder for fungal infection in the inner thigh.
Should I use powder also or cream would be sufficient.The redness has increased after I started using the powder.Please advise.
The doctor had given me terbest tablet for 14 days.Should I take this.I had stomach pain & burning after I took the first tablet.

The medicines given to you by your doctor are absolutely fine.
You can use the triben cream and terbest tablet.They are sufficient.
No need of using triben powder if you are having increased redness after using it.
Oral antifungals like tablet terbest are very important as the fungal infection wont resolve completely with cream only.
If you are having problem with terbest tablet take an antacid like tablet Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily empty stomach and then after having your breakfast take tablet terbest.
You won't have stomach pain and burning after taking an antacid.

Wear cotton trousers and undergarments. Wash them separately from the rest of the clothes. But try to iron them.
Yes apply triben cream twice daily.
No need to wash the affected area twice daily.Just dry it with a towel before applying the cream second time.
It is contagious to some extent.Keep your soap and towel separate.
Don't share your clothes with others.
Tiredness is not related to the terbest tablet. It might be due to some other reason.
Once you start with the medicines redness will take time to reduce.
