What Causes Hard Painful Red Bumps On Mid Back?
Question: I got 3 or 4 small hard red bumbs on the mid back area.. If I touch it will be painful if not No pain.. Can u plz advice me wht it is
Brief Answer:
They look like multiple sebaceous cysts.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description, they look like multiple sebaceous cysts which got infected. If you can provide a photo of the lesion I will be better able to help.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Clindamycin capsule along with anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints. Later, pus has to be drained by a small incision over the swelling.
If the swellings subside with above medication, then incision and drainage is not necessary.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Heres the pic... Not std related right..?? Im not sexually active
Brief Answer:
It is not STD.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I saw the pics. It does not seem to be STD. It looks like mild folliculitis: infection and associated inflammation of the hair follicle.
Treatment is same as that of infected sebaceous cyst. Antibiotic and anti inflammatory tablets have to be tried first.
Nothing to worry.
Regards
