Brief Answer: Is he active?Normal bowels? Detailed Answer: Hi dear. Thanks for giving me an opportunity to answer your query. I would like to know some more information about your baby to be better able to help you. Are his feeds (breast feeding) normal? Is there any change in the frequency of stool? Are they fowl smelling? Does he have fever? Do you see any change in his activity? Awaiting for your reply.

Hi sir My boy has one bowel movement per day.He is active and feeds well at breast but since I'm lactating very less his maximum feeds are Nan pro 1. His stool does smell bad but I'm unable to differentiate whether its foul.He doesn't have any fever as of now.He is a known c/o laryngomalacia and GER.And he was admitted for bronchiolitis three days back where he was only nebulised with 3% NS and Ipravent. He is now on domstal 1 ml tds and Jr lansol 1/2 OD for ger.But change in stool colour is seen even before I started above medicine that is from Monday. Kindly help...

Brief Answer: Observe. He seems to be fine. Detailed Answer: Hi dear. Thanks for writing back. Since the baby is active, feeds are adequate, fever is absent he must be well. However I would observe him for next few days.If everything seems to be normal change in the stool colour is not at all a concern. I were to attribute this change due to the increased proportion of formula feed compared to breast milk which is quite common in infants. Hope this clarifies your doubt. All the best.
