What Causes Greasy Film On Top Of Urine?

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Jan 2017
Question: I am having occasional discharge of little yellow "disk like" shaped circles in my urine. I have retrieved several, and they feel waxy. What can this be? I am currently taking a blood pressure pill, anti-depressant, diuretic, and a cholesterol lowering medication, and Vitamin D 2000 iu. No pain, or burning with urination.
Any thoughts as to what this might be, and what causes this? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
For how long have you observed this?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I will like to know for how long you have observed this. If it is recent, I will suggest that you observe a little longer so that we can gather more details to make the right diagnosis if it persists. Note that we have no urgency as there are no other concerning symptoms here. No of your medications can be singled out as being responsible for this observation.

Should it persist or other symptoms such as pain or frequency set in, I will suggest that you get a urine test done. That will provide us with more details and guide us further in establishing the cause and treating accordingly.

Keep me posted. I hope to hear from you at your earliest convenience.

should I make an appointment with my Genealogist for her insight. I am also post menopausal and have had a hysterectomy years ago. Your response to this added information I have given, would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, meant GYNECOLOGIST

Brief Answer:
For how long has this been going on?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I really don’t see much reasons seeing a gynecologist. If this is a recent observation, monitor and report progress to me. However, seeing your gynecologist could provide you with further assurance that you seek because you are definitely worried by this. I will let you choose whether to or not. I will neither encourage or discourage that.

I wish you well.
