What Causes Gradual Scalp Tightening And Tension In Ears?

default
Posted on Mon, 5 Jan 2015
Question: For 3 months now I've had a gradual scalp tightening. I wasn't aware this was happening and notice a lot of hair all over me. I'm 38yrs female .. Active no medications. I since have realized my hair has matted to my scalp it's so tight that my ears are pinned back and I can hardly hear, taste, smell. I have felt hair come from my eye sockets in the shower. My hair feels damaged and it breaks off easy in the shower. If I rub my fingers through my hair aggressively I can get it to loosen but it's not going back to normal?
Any thoughts?

Hello,
I am taking no medications. My father has recently had open heart surgery as well 2 of his cousins past this year from heart attacks. Yestetdsy i had a strange occurence that may offer some conclusions but i intend to see my GP asap. A cyst thst has been under my armpit for some time ruptured. There was small amount of pus for the size (golf ball size) so using sterilized tweezers I began investigating. A ton of hair was extracted from the sight and as it painfully and burning came out i felt relief of the tightnes in my scalp as well i had over all body tightness. As it relieved i realized my head, hands and feet were seriously blood constricted as they grew warm and pink. My earspopped and i could hear abit better. I felt an over all sense of well being providing me the insight that i really have not been well. The winter months have begun where i live in XXXXXXX Canada and i have been struggling to walk my dog each day in the cold. I faithfully walk him for at least an hour but at times this past couple months ive been so cold in above freezing temperatures that ive given up the walk many times lately. Upon standiing after this occurence blood flow to my hands head and feet constricted once again. Looking at my hand i realized it was hair pulled so tightly around my wrists.. . The hair is pulled so tightly that its not visible to the eye so much, the lacerations you see on my left hand in the pic provided are from me scratching to attempt break the hairs to regain blood flow. Very odd. I feel better today then i did yesterday. Im abit warmer but not nearly warn enough. My hearing and scent are not well at all.

Brief Answer:
meet a psychiatrist

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the photograph.
It's good that you are feeling better.
I don't think there is any relation between cyst with hair and loss of smell and other sensation.
Cyst with hair is called as dermoid cyst and is a common thing.
Please meet a psychiatrist. There may be a sensorinural defect. This might help you.
Let Me know if you have doubts.
Thank you
