What Causes Frozen Bones On Right Side Of The Body?

default
Posted on Fri, 11 Jul 2014
Question: Yes. I have "frozen" bones on my right side. I've had two open heart surgeries for heart attacks, stents, TIA's, and the doctor says I've had a stroke affecting my right side. Sometimes i can't talk and my right side is wonky, weak, shaky. I've had Fibromyalgia since I was a badly abused kid and I'm on levothyroxine for my thyroid. I'm on all kinds of meds, actually, as well as vitamin D. I'm also on Effexor but I'm still depressed because of all the pain from Fibro and frozen bones. Help!

Brief Answer:
Details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The frozen bones on the right side of the body are likely to be related to a neurological cause. The other possible reasons can be tendonitis and fibromyalgia. To pinpoint the diagnosis, complete physical examination and investigations like complete blood counts, ESR, RA factor, CRP, serum uric acid, serum creatinine, X-ray and MRI joints from a rheumatologist are needed.
I would like to give some diet tips which might be helpful to get rid of these symptoms. Often the elimination of certain foods such as the following will help greatly:
Dairy products, with the exception of plain yogurt with active culture
Citrus, with the exception of lemon and grapefruit
Alcohol
Meat including beef, pork, and lamb (other sources of protein such as chicken, fish and beans are less likely to promote inflammation)
Vegetable oils (continue using olive oil and the essential fatty acids flax seed, sesame, pumpkin, sunflower oils)

I would also like to give some advice to make the life better and to fight with this-
Do regular physiotherapy of joints.
Hot fomentation to decrease the joint stiffness
Hot bath of Epsom salts (magnesium sulphate)-Magnesium has both anti-inflammatory and anti- arthritic properties and it can be absorbed through the skin.
You can try gultheria oil or oil of winter green,so many patients of mine are telling they are relieved of stiffness with that.
You have to apply the oil on the area that has frozen feeling.

Increasing the dietary fish intake and/or fish oil capsules (omega-3 capsules) can sometimes reduce the inflammation .
Take vegetables and fruits that are rich in Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Calcium, Omega-3 Fatty acid, Zinc, Magensium and many more.

I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
