Question: had to go to the bathroom every hour through the night, did not turn on light and did not know there was blood in my urine until this morning. I am still having blood when I go, it is a bright red. We are on vacation, not sure what I should do?

Brief Answer:
Needs further evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Hello

thank you for getting back with the answers. Sometimes sea food does cause urine to become red. If you took sea food earlier as well with no history of red urine at that time then i would suggest you to wait and observe at this moment. If your vacations are for shorter time then you can visit hospital once getting back from vacations BUT if you are staying for a longer time and symptoms are persisting then you need to visit ER for some investigations that include CBC, urine complete examination, ultrasound KUB & random blood sugar level. Further management would start after getting the test results. Meanwhile i would suggest you to take adequate fluids including water & fresh juices.

If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion.
Wishing you good health !!
