Brief Answer:
Considerations.

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

The most common cause for foul smelling urine would be an underlying urinary tract infection. Bacteria can contribute to symptoms of urinary frequency and urgency as well as discomfort while urinating in addition to contributing to a change in the normal smell of urine.

if your symptoms are persistent then it would be reasonable for you to contact your primary care physician to have ate your analysis performed. The urinalysis will have to determine if you actually have a urinary tract infection or if there is something else that is causing a disruption in the smell of your urine. Metabolic disorders and sometimes on this sort of thing as well.

Thanks again for sending your question. Please contact your doctor to have a urinalysis performed. I hope you feel better soon.

sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
