What Causes Folliculitis On Labia After Cutting The Pubic Hair?
Question: I cut my pubic hair and the next day my right labia began to swell and get lumps in iit. The soreness got worse and Began to swell, it is now painful in the groin area. I am 54 and not sexually active . Please help

Folliculitis might be more common for the given history.The area is sensitive and friction prone.
So use some topical antibiotic cream like fucidin or mupirocin if available over the counter drug.
Do not cause any friction or rubbing or scratching the area may further leed to deeper infection.
You can take oral antibiotics like roxithromycin or cephalexin also antiinflammatory analgesics like brufen or diclofenac .These are needed to avoid infection becoming deeper. However these come with prescription with local doctor.
Wear loose inner wears not to cause pain or friction.
