Question: Hi,
My 6 year-old son had a bad concussion abt. 3 1/2 weeks ago...
He's doing fine, except that his right pupil still fluctuates...
What do you think is causing it; and should I see somebody?!

Thanks,

XXXX

Brief Answer:
Head injury

Detailed Answer:
My dear,
thanks for sending your query to us.
certain fluctuations of pupillary size when you throw light on the eye are normal but if there is some difference noticed by you then it becomes significant.Even in absence of any other apparent localizing sign like weakness in any of the limbs.
I would be happy if a neurologist sees the child and all fears are put to rest,so consult a neurologist and do get back to me in case of any further query in this regard.
