Brief Answer:
its mixed vaginosis with vaginitis + PID...explained..

Detailed Answer:
hello,
Thanks for contacting healthcaremagic.

The presence of yellowish thick discharge associated with itching with red painful vagina indicates a mixed infection with fungal and bacterial, possibly chlamydia and candida together causing vaginitis as well. Secondly , the pain experienced in the lower abdomen with inability to stand , walk, or lay down without discomfort indicate a pelvic inflammatory disease as well.
PID , is caused most commonly by a chlamydial infection, if the infection is recurrent or have been treated incompletely.
please follow the following advise sequencially. :-

1. Take TAB AZITHROMYCIN 1000mg STAT dose as treatment for chlamydia.
2. next day, start on:-
CAP. DOXYCYCLINE 100mg TWICE A DAY FOR 14 DAYS.
TAB TINIDAZOLE 500mg TWICE A DAY FOR 14 DAYS.,..for PID.
Tab mefenamic acid 500mg thrice a day for 3 days for pain relief.
3. CLINGEN VAGINAL PESSARY ( or combination of CLINDAMYCIN + CLOTRIMAZOLE vaginal pessary) , apply intravaginally at night before sleeping for 7 days ..for mixed vaginosis.

Please increase your water intake to disallow any spread of infection to bladder as it can cause UTI as well.

4. Avoid sexual intercourse till you are completely treated and course is over...atleast 2 weeks.

Also please get your partner examined for chlamydial infection with a urethral culture.
You should feel better after 3 days. Please follow the prescription.

Brief Answer:
they are generic names and easily available ...

Detailed Answer:
hello,
I have purposefully mentioned the GENERIC NAMES of the drugs and not the trade names, so it would be easy to find in any part of the world.
They are available with different brand names but generic name is the same, so you won't have any difficulty, i am sure,

Brief Answer:
explained.

Detailed Answer:
metronidazole...
yes you may stop it completely and switch to the schedule and prescription i have advised. 24 hrs shall not make a difference. this will deal only with gm negative organisms only.I have already prescribed a better substitute as tinidazole in its place.
so you may start the schedule from tomorrow to get earliest relief as the infection is not just chlamydial alone .

Brief Answer:
yes of course

Detailed Answer:
yes, that is very true,
alcohol can reduce the efficacy of both fluconazole and azithromycin and can cause dizziness and lethargy if continued during the course .
he has to take just stat single doses for both. and of course avoid alcohol for at least 10 days.
