Question: Hi Dr.,

I have moisture in my right eye which results in tears sonetimes and ichiness.
Can you please suggest some eye drop and
Reason for this.

Brief Answer:
Could be blocked nasolacrimal duct. Punctal dilation/syringing recommended.

Detailed Answer:
It can be nasolacrimal duct block causing excessive watering of eye. Syringing is recommended. In your specific case punctal dilation and syringing is to be done. If you want to locate the point of block, then methylene blue can be injected and x-ray taken. Repeated syringing can open up the block. This can be confirmed by Schimmer's test and measure the tear in conjunctival sac. If it is infection of nasolacrimal tube, then antibiotics can be injected and possibility is the block will open up. If the watering eye still does not stop, then dacryocystorhinostomy is recommended.
