What Causes Dry Throat And Breathing Difficulty While Treating Arthritis?
Question: My Father is having Arthritis & his both knees were replaced. Recently he met with a accident & his Right Femer Bone got a crack. He is taking Medicines regularly for same but from last few days while sleeping he open his mouth & always feel that his throat is dry. Please confirm is it good or due to any other problem it is. He is also having Nerve problem & taking Mystemia (1 daily)

Dear Sir,
Thanks a lot for your response on same. Due to Femur fracture he is taking complete bed rest from last one month i.e. 17th Aug'16 to till date. Few days back he has taken the fresh X Ray & doctor again advised to continue the bed rest for next 1-2 months. His leg is fixed temporarily with a straight frame.
I hope Sleep Apnea is not harmful for him, please also suggest any special diet for same.

Sleep apnea is something which happens due to obstruction of the airway while sleeping and causes the person difficulty in breathing. Doing any dietary changes cannot help it. You need to get him examined by a physician and get a sleep study done to find the proper cause so that proper treatment can be started. In very severe cases it can even cause choking and death. It is not something to be ignored.
