Suggest Treatment For Chronic Fatigue And Fibromyalgia

default
Posted on Tue, 25 Oct 2016
Question: I have had CEBV, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia for most of my adult life. I believe that these illnesses are related. I had a bad case of Mononucleosis when I was aged 26 and I felt that it never completely left my body. I am now 74 years old and have several other medical conditions, including chronic bronchitis, arthritis, balance problems and am recovering from a double femur fracture. In the past, and recently, whenever i have a UTI, i have nausea, vomiting and diarrhea with chills and fever. This develops rapidly and responds to antibiotics. I have only recently realized these combined symptoms indicate I have a UTI. And now, finally, I come to my main question: are fibromyalgia and kidney disease related? What is treatment?

Brief Answer:
Fibromyalgia and UTI are not related to each other

Detailed Answer:
Hello Madam.

I can certainly understand your concern.
I have worked through your query in detail.

Kidney disease and fibromyalgia are not related to each other.

Urinary tract infection in your case could have probably arised from lower urinary tract of bladder.

Here the response of infection to antibiotics is pretty good.

Urinary tract infection is a common condition in the elderly, with substandard immunity levels( owing to past viral infections)

Therefore, treating fibromyalgia will not have any effect in prevention of UTI.

Post your further questions if any.
Thank you.
