Question: Hello, yes I would appreciate some help. My 19 year daughter has had signs of her balance being off, like if she looks at her hand it is weaving in and out and the room is swaying. She also is saying she has tingling in her legs. She doesn't smoke, has not had any alcohol, and doesn't do any drugs. She is not have nausea, no cold symptoms, no blurred vision, no hearing problems.

Thanks for posting the query. I will try my best to help you with this problem.

The commonest causes of dizziness in youth are electrolyte imbalance and migraine. With the history of fever or upper respiratory tract infection preceding the dizziness, it could be related to vestibular neuronitis. As the history is not suggestive of infection, the vestibular neuronitis is ruled out.

After going through the history, I do feel, your daughter could be having electrolyte imbalance.

My sincere advise to you is to take your daughter to ER for a complete evaluation and further management.
