Brief Answer:
Allergic condition or gastro esophageal reflux can be the cause.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to allergic cause or due to gastroesophageal reflux.

Have you done spirometry? By doing this obstructive or reversible lung condition can be ruled out.
For my patients with condition like your's I would recommend taking proton pump inhibitors like rabeprazole and combination of antihistamine like levocetirizine and mast cell stabilizers like monteleukast for long term.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if any thing not clear.
Thanks.

If you have any further input I will greatly appreciate it.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

As you have ruled out other possible conditions causing this by the obove tests your problem can be most likely due to allergic cause and gastro esophageal reflux.

In such case taking long term treatment with proton pump inhibitors like rabeperazole along with combination of antihistamine like levocetirizine as well as mast cell stabilzers like monteleukast will be helpful.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Hello Doctor:

In my own mind I think there is LUNG INFECTION perhaps taking Antibiotics for 5 to 7 days could be the answer.
Please advise with your views.

Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up query.

Antibiotics will be helpful in case of infection. If there is any signs of bacterial infection like yellowish phlegm or fever or increased neutrophils in blood routine then antibiotics can be taken.

You can go for a blood routine test to rule out infection. You can get back to me whenever needed. I am happy to help you.

Thanks.
