What Causes Delayed Ovulation In Women With Irregular Periods?
Question: Hi,
My periods is irregular.Last month i missed my periods.So doctor prescribed me Duphastone to get periods and Clome 50mg from 3rd-7th day of periods.
Asked to do follicular study on 10 or 11th day.
But I did follicular study on 14th day and doctor told me to come again on 17th day to do same folicular study.
when I asked how many eggs released ,she told my eggs are very small to count.
I am tensed now....whether I wil ovulate on time or not?
I should be with my partner this time or not?
Why doctor ask me to do again same test on 17th day?
Clome 50 will help me to be pregnant?

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
It is common for patients to ovulate in 14-20 days so don't worry and just wait for your next follicular scan which is done to monitor the growth of eggs.
So don't be anxious as usually it takes 2-4 scans to see the rupture of follicle and thus release of eggs and thus decide the timing of intercourse.
You can stay with your husband but it is not mandatory.
Your doctor will monitor the growth of follicle and then tell you the mandatory days for intercourse so as to have high chances of conception.
Clomiphene citrate is an ovulation inducing drug and thus increases the chances of conception manifold as compared to normal cycle.
