Brief Answer:
As discussed .

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
I have read and understood the history of starting Pantoprazole started prior to the procedure for acid reflux, colonoscopy on 3/3/2015 - was clean - cramping and continuous diarrhea since procedure - wants to know how to stop diarrhea.

I would like to know a few things:
What was the indication for colonoscopy ?
Do you have any other associated Medical Problems ?
Is the diarrhea watery / bloody / mucus / ?
How many times in 24 hours ?
I hope you do not have any nausea, vomiting, bloating, fever, weakness, muscle fatigue (indicating electrolyte imbalance or dehydration)

The possible causes of diarrhea for 4 days may be:
-Disturbed GI flora
-Action of the cleaning agents prior to colonoscopy still continues.
-Side effect of Pantoprazole.

The possible treatment can be:
-Stop Pantoprazole
-Combination of Prebiotics and Probiotics orally
-Loperamide till diarrhea is controlled
-Examination of stool : if positive for infection then to start with Antibiotics and Metronidazole.
-Banana, curds / Yogurt in diet
-Activated charcoal tablets which act as adsorbents for toxins.

You may start either of or combination of the above suggested courses with discussion with your treating Doctor or a Family Physician.

I hope this answer helps you to understand the possible causes and get a relief.
Please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.

Wishing you an early recovery.

Colonoscopy scheduled as routine 10 year checkup.
Have experienced bloating with above-noted cramping following eating.
No nausea, vomiting, weakness or fatigue.
No known medical problems with exception of noted acid reflux.
Watery diarrhea contuse this morning; no evidence of blood in discharge - frequency is 5-6 events per day.

Are over-the-counter diarrhea medications effective? You noted Loperamide.
Started 1.5 cups/day yogurt last night. Adding bananas this morning.

Brief Answer:
Take Loperamide after consultation of your Doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Your history says that the bloating and cramping started after eating. No other problems except the Acid reflux.
Loperamide is an anti-motility drug, although OTC, please take only after consultation of your Doctor as you may be asked to take only if your Doctor thinks so.
Hope yogurt and bananas help.
