Brief Answer:
Contracture/ pinged nerve possible, chiropract./ physicalth. recommended

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

your description makes me think of a vertebra blockage/ pinged nerve ("contracture") in first place. Usually local warmth and pain medication like ibuprofen is the first treatment one should try. However, if it doesnt improve at all chiropractics and/ or physical therapy can be very helpful.

If this is going on for a longer period of time also x ray is advisable to rule out any structural problem with the vertebras/ shoulder blade in that area.

Hope this is helping you , if you have any clarificatons you can get back to me, if this was helpful please kindly rate my answer. Best regards
