Brief Answer:
X ray chest , sinuses and a different antibiotics may help.

Detailed Answer:

Hello XXXXXXX

You seem to be having Upper Respiratory Tract Infection(URTI) which seems to take longer than usual to resolve.

I suggest you get a x ray chest and a x ray for paranasal sinuses done to rule out any underlying lung pathology or sinus infection.

If required, a throat swab can also be done to know the type of bacteria involved in the infection.

A change of antibiotics like augmentin or cephalosporins after consulting your PCP may help.

If you suffer from any allergic conditions, you can discuss taking Montair LC with your doctor as well. Nebulizations will also help. You can get a home nebulizer at the local pharmacy, discuss the usage of something like albuterol with the nebulizer.

The loss of hearing may be due to Eustachian catarrh which is a part of URTI and will subside in due course of time but it`s generally not total loss, hence I suggest you consult a ENT specialist for this.

Hope this helps, let me know how I can help you further.
