What Causes Cold, High Pulse Rate And Heaviness In Heart?
Chest pain or heaviness can have a number of causes
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Let me assure you that chest pain can occur due to many causes, many of them being unrelated to the heart. When you catch cold, the pain is more likely to be due to lung cause. In such a case, the covering membrane of the lung (pleura) sometime gets inflamed, giving rise to such pain or heaviness. If it is not related to the heart, nothing will show up in the ECG.
Whenever the body is under stressful conditions (as during an episode of cold or illness), the heart rate rises. It is very normal and you need not worry about it.
The blood pressure seems high. Reduce salt intake as much as you can. If on 3 different occasions the blood pressure is detected to be high, medication would be suggested. The choice of antihypertensive depends on a number of factors and it is hard to make a choice without knowing the details.
Stay relaxed. Things would be fine.
Hope that helps.
