Question: Ok. Symptoms: pain in back of larynx 3 months now. Choking feeling in neck,when breathing in through nose I feel rawness in same spot in throat. Tinnitus in right ear all this time. Had ct scan, chest X-ray , lower & upper abdomen ultrasound. Found ovarian cyst 1 cm. did thyroid us, found cyst left side, lesion in upper right lobe 1 cm that is undefined. Could the lesion be from reflux? I have a nagging pain in upper right abdomen, but I had gallbladder removed 13 yrs ago. I'm 50 yr old female. Non smoker, 2 drinks a month, go to gym regularly, eat whole foods , love chocolate and coffee but I don't overindulge. Am taking tecta and iron supplements for anemia.

Thank you Dr Mittal. By polycystic disease do you mean ovarian polycystic disease? For info I havent had a period in two years. Also, by congestion do you mean 'a cold' or virus? What are the red spots on the throat and how long do they usually take to go away? Its been three months now. Theyve subsided in colour intensity but are still there. I have also included my recent usg results from my thyroid. My throat feels so full it bothers me to turn my head from side to side. Is this thyroiditis? Blood tests came back ' normal' . What does 'ill defined' mean ? What does 'no concerning' mean and what does ' no significant' mean when you read these statements? :

Hi dr mittal. I have two appointments booked this week. I am getting my throat scoped by an ent this week. My right ear is itchy and sound is muffled. Balance is off and i feel a little foggy today. My throat is more sore than normal. I feel an itchy congestive sore feeling around my voicebox but also around my collar bone. I should note that before this all started i had taken a short trip to china. I started to not feel well while i was there. Choking feeling, flushed face, and sore joints in my feet. When i got home a few days later my sore throat started and my tonsils flared up real bad and the right tonsil is still constantly irritated. I suppose there is a huge variety of viruses that i could have picked up? Do viruses cause these aymptoms for months though? In the beginning i had a little bit pf conjunctivitus but i got antiobiotic drops and it went away quick. I also had two rounds or oral antibiotics. In XXXXXXX clarithromycin for 10 days and end of july aug, biaxin for 7 days. This biaxin made me feel a little better but only when i was done taking it. I had a tough time with the dose. I know these drugs dont kill viruses, but do parasites cause these things too? How long can a virus last? Is there anything specific that i should ask of the ent? Also, i am meeting with endocrine dr as well. As you say, although the thyroid should be checked, it probably isnt the cause of my other symptoms. The endo ordered tsh, t3 t4 etc... And i have an appointment. He will probably order fnac, what else can i expect if the bloodwork is normal? How do i get rid of the fullness feeling that is showing on my thryoid scan? Based on my symptoms, could all these be possibly different ailments and i unfortunately have multiple diverse symptoms? Or are thyroid issues often occurring simultaneous to ent issues?
