Question: Hi I'm a 41 year old female I have been having vaginal burning first though it was a uti came up negative primary feels like it may be a vaginal infection I cant get to gyno for another three weeks I know that ab STD is impossible can a yeast infection cause burning without discharge if not what other conditions do and are there any home remedies

A yeast infection can cause inflammation and irritation of the vaginal area, itching can also sometimes occur. The inflammation/irritation and itching, if this is present, can lead to a burning sensation.

Bicarbonate soaks can sometimes be used for yeast infections, approximately a cup of baking soda is placed in bath water and you can soak for 15 to 20 mins. Some persons also recommend apple cider vinegar

It would be best however, to consider the use of either a topical or oral mediation for the yeast infection.
Orally , fluconazole can be used. There are a number of different topical options, some of them are over the counter medications.

You may want to consider a swab of the vaginal area so that you can definitely find out the cause.
