Brief Answer:
Several possibilities

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

That symptom can be a manifestation of many possibilities. Peripheral polyneuropathy a condition involving the periheral nerves is a possibility although it typically starts in the inferior limbs.

Another possibility is a metabolic disturbance, like electrolyte abnormalities, thyroid or parathyroid dysfunction, nutritional defficiency. So some routine blood tests are recommended like blood count, glucose, liver and kidney function tests, thyroid function, electrolyte panel, vitamin B12 and D.

If tests result normal there is also the (very common) possibility of those symptoms being due to anxiety.

I remain at your disposal for further questions.
