Question: I am breathless while climbing stairs. I also suffer accute spondolytis

Welcome to the HCM.
Dear it depends how many stairs climbing trigger breathlessness.If breatlessness occur shortly after climbing few (3to 4) stairs then possible causes could be anemia,chronic lung disease or smoking and heart muscle poor pumping and increased weight.
First these factors should be ruled out by getting routine blood tests ,chest xray,lipid profile ; ECG and BMI done .Then contributing factors can be treated accordingly.
Spobdylitis is actualy a type of arthritis effecting spine.Mostly the cause is unknown so it is treated symptometicaly with nonsteroidal antiinflamatory drugs(naproxin,ibuprofen) exercise and physiotherapy to reduce stiffness and pain.
