What Causes Ankle And Knee Pain?

default
Posted on Mon, 19 Jan 2015
Question: I may be going through menopause but I am scared it is worse. As I use a mirena menopause is not obvious. I am 50 years of age. For two months i have had joint pain in knees and ankles especially after prolonged sitting / sleeping. No swelling. Recently my skin has developed an odd tingling sensation when ever I scratch.

Thanks you. Would vitamin deficiency cover both sets of symptoms? Or does that account for the stiff joints; and maybe menopause accounting for the odd skin sensations?

Brief Answer:
Vitamin deficiencies can cause both sets of symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome back

Vitamin deficiencies can cause both sets of symptoms, joint pains and odd skin sensations. Such symptoms can also due to menopause but as you are using mirena so I considering vitamin deficiency as first possibility. Such skin symptoms can also be due to diabetes. So You can get your blood sugar level to know diabetic status.

You can discuss with your Doctor about it.

Hope your query gets answered.

Yes thank you I did like my answer. I am taking vitamin D3 with calcium, I could do with a little more information, such as how much, the best form, and how long before I expect improvement.
