Brief Answer:
Superficial vessels that are normal

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your question.
I saw your photos carefully and I understand your concern.

The hard palate (the area where is localized your bruise) is an area that has very superficial vessels that get really evident sometimes. So in general it is nothing to worry about and will go away by itself. You may also have had it since long time ago but haven't noticed it before.

I would say to have a look at it for some time and if worse then follow up with me or see a local doctor. But I would not expect it to get worse.

Hope this is helpful.

Thanks so much! I just uploaded a new photo. The front part of my palate looks very purple. Is that normal too? I also get mouth ulcers very frequently and am unsure why. I am a very anxious person and get stressed out easily. Can that cause them? Thanks again!

Brief Answer:
Compare your palate with others and you will notice everyone' is different

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

Thank you for the follow-up question.
I saw the new photo. Even if it is a bit blurry I would say that it seems normal. The only part I would like you to keep an eye for changes is the red spot. What you can do for example is to follow up with me in 3 months, send me a new photo then I can advice on changes...in the case that it is still there.

To get reassured for example, you can compare it with different people from your family. You will notice that every person is different.

Yes, stress triggers the mouth sores. I am not sure if it causes this changes in the palate.

Hope I answered your question.

Regards,
Dr.Papaqako
