What Causes Cafe Au Lait Spots On Neck And Eye?

Question: Hi.. Greetings of the day. I have dry to normal skin.I also have cafe-o-lat spots on my neck and eye. Could u please suggest best cream for my skin. Any Remedy or precaution for the spots. I have also taken 6 to 8 medlite laser session for the spots. Any suggestions for the same. The Session has caused two white small spots on teh Cafe-o-lait spots.. What are they and any treatment or suggestions for the white spots. I also have small moles on my whole body. I have removed some of them surgically and treatment or precautions for the moles? I am already using derma color consellers. Which is the best sunscreen and how it should be used with make-up. Any other suggestions for me ? Thanks and Regards XXXXXXX

Brief Answer: Details below Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXX, Thanks for writing to us. Cafe au lait spots are light coffee brown flat spots and can be removed by appropriate lasers. The white spots that have developed over your cafe au lait macules is probably due to post inflammatory hypopigmentation which may occur after laser sessions. Use of a steroid cream may help in reducing those white spots. Also use a sunscreen religiously in between the laser sessions Your moles could be acquired melanocytic naevi. It is treated by RF cautery or electrocautery ie an electrical probe is used to burn the moles. Also these pigmented spots could be freckles. Some people have the predisposition to develop multiple moles. Also sun exposure could be a cause. So use a good sunscreen atleast with SPF 30. For body parts you may use suncross sunscreen lotion. For face You may use sunscreens like rivela tint/ shadowz silk/ ansolar etc. After cleansing and moisturising your face, you may apply your sunscreen and then apply your makeup. With Rivela tint you may avoid foundation as its already tinted with the same. For further clarification, Please upload few images of affected area. Hope this helped. Take care
