Brief Answer:
Yes, neurotransmitters can be measured.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

The answer to your question is yes, neurotransmitters levels can be measured by special noninvasive urine tests and blood tests, dopamine included.

The main way to evaluate/ diagnose ADHD ( attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) and Sensory Integration Disorder in children is clinical evaluation by a children's Psychiatrist and neurotransmitters levels tests are used to help confirm the clinical findings.

Neurotransmitters involved in ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) are norepinephrine and dopamine, while neurotransmitter involved in Sensory Integration Disorder is serotonin.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
