What Are The Symptoms Of Pregnancy?

Question: Hello doctor,
I have always had irregular flow and decided to have a child as i have never been pregnant. I took well woman and parlodel and after a month, i went on clomid 100mg for 5 days... it is over a month and i have done 4hpt and all came out positive. The test was done (week 4, week 6 and week 8) respectively. I also went for a blood test which also rerurned positive. I am about going for a transvaginal ultrasound.
I have no pregnancy symptoms except for sore nipples and hunger. I eat and after 30 minutes, i am hungry again. Pls i need your advice or opinion. Could i be really pregnant as i am supppsed to be 9 weeks and 3 days gone. If i do another hpt it will still come out positive.

Thanks for the query,
If your blood test for pregnancy has come out to be positive i.e. the serum beta hcg test then you are pregnant and ultrasound shall further confirm it.
The sore breasts, frequent hungry state they are part of early pregnancy symptoms.
so get an ultrasound done.

Does the serum beta hcg test take about an hour to read... when i went the physician said she was waiting fpr my blood to settle. Shat sort of pregnancy test do you think i did?

well i am not so sure about the lab procedure for how it is done but a confirmatory serum beta hcg test with levels higher than 1 or raised will confirm pregnancy for sure.
If not done then you may get it done and get a formal report .
This is the gold standard if there has been a doubt regarding pregnancy.

it is okay. is there a possibility of the test strip from different pharmacy giving me a false positive? just curious. I had to buy from different pharmacies to see if I would get different results

the best would have been to buy different urine pregnancy strips of different brands to remove the bias completely . if all have been positive then you are pregnant and even false positivity is removed.
but it is suggested that as you would be due for an ultrasound , it would be confirmatory as the serum beta hcg.
So you can decide to wait till ultrasound or ask your physician if the blood test was beta hcg or if you have the report then you may attach a picture of the same and i would be able to help you.
