Brief Answer:
fungal infection.,vit deficiency,

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

A painful tongue and mouth for a month ,might be related to a fungal infection or Vit B12 deficiency .

I would suggest to wash your teeth and tongue well and rinse with warm salt water several times a day.You can also use an antifungal mouthwash or cream for some days to see if the symptoms will improve.

If not you should consult your physician for examination.
You need to run a complete blood test , Vit B12 and folate level to exclude Vit B12 and folate deficiency.
Iron deficiency anemia can also cause such tongue symptoms.
Avoid acidic ,hot and spicy foods. You can take Ibuprofen or Tylenol for the pain.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you need further help.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
