Question: What is the role and are the side effects of indocap sr in ankylosing spondylitis. I am taking it since last 3 months and having much relief in pain. Do it contened the ankylosing spondylitis? Generally how many years indocap sr helps in contending the conditions. Some doctors have recommend indocap while some are referring remicade ? Kindly guide.

Indocap sr is non steroidal anti inflammatory drug . It decreases pain and inflammation associated with ankylosing spondylitis.Its side effect is gastritis.

Ramicade (infliximab) is disease modifying drug(Biological) and is a good drg to control the disease.Take this drug under guidence of your doctor.It is not advisable to stop medication on your own as it only leads to accrual of joint damage and leads to joint deformities.
So keep a positive attitude and take regular medication; also exercise regularly.
