What Are The Side Effects Of Glutathione Capsules?

default
Posted on Tue, 28 Apr 2015
Question:
I started taking Dr XXXXXXX Glutathione capsules
(glutathione 1000 mg with Alpha T acids)
and Vit-C 1000 Mg twice daily for skin whitening.
(I have noticed some good results on my skin in a week)

But from the 3rd day I got rashes(looks like sweat rashes in summer)
and little itching all over my body.

Is this side effect of glutathione or alpha T acid?

Is this a side effect of detoxification? Will it disappear in few days?

(some forums say that it will disappear in a week or so, this is because of flushing out toxins)

I have this rashes and itching for past 4 days. Should I stop the medication?
or continue until the rashes disappear in a week? Or I should change the brand?
Please advice.an

Brief Answer:
Stop these capsules.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.

I understand your concern.

You possible seem to have drug induced allergic rashes.

This is the known side effect of this combination usually attributed to Alpha T acid.

This rash should resolve in week days time.

I advise you to stop this drug at the moment and never restart it again.

Vitamin C can be taken, but not the other drugs.

Changing the brand will not reduce the risk.

The forums you read are illogical and misguiding.Better do not trust them.

Severe skin reactions are known to occur in individuals with susceptibility to Alpha T acids.

Drugs like Levocet 10 mg taken for 3 days will help you to recover soon from the rash.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.

Thanks for your answer Doctor.

However, I have got a glowing skin in a week time and black spots on my skin have disappeared like a miracle. I would like to continue with Glutathione capsules. (without alpha T acid).

Can I have Glutathione Reduced capsules without alpha T acid?
If yes, what would be the dosage? If no, what else do you recommend for whitening of skin?

regards.
