What Are The Repercussions Of Panadol Overdose?
Question: I took 20 tablets of panadol, i was trying to kill myself obviously. I regret now though. My head hurts and I feel a bit nauseous. I'm too embarrassed to go to the doctors or hospital. Will I be okay?

As far as panadol is concerned,the maximum dosage that can be consumed is 4000mg per day (6-8 tablets of panadol).
You have consumed almost double the safety dose.
Even if you do not have significant adverse symptoms right now,but it may affect your liver and kidney functions in long run.
However embarassed you feel,you still should go to ER and be under medical supervision for atleast 48 hours.
As an emergency measure,try and induce vomitting right now. This will remove the bulk of the medicine instantly from the body.
Drink plenty of water. Do not be alone.Have someone from your family or friends with you.
