Question: Dear doctor, I had unprotected sex on 10 th and 11 th of December. My last period had started on 4th Dec.. I had taken an I pill on 11 th(25 th hour after sex). I had not experienced any bleeding till now. My period is missed now(about to come on 3rd of Jan). From last 3 days there was no white discharge. One more thing I had taken one ipill even in November but that had not effected my previous period which came in December on time.
Now I'm very much tensed about pregnancy. Please help in this matter.

Brief Answer:
Hi

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Since you have taken i-Pill within 72 hrs the chances of pregnancy decreases by 85 percent. The side effects of it is menstrual irregularity which can be delayed periods. So get a pregnancy test done to rule out pregnancy. IF NEGATIVE wait for a week to get spontaneous periods. If still no periods, you can take Progesterone tablet to get withdrawal bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Feel free to ask any doubts. Good day.

Brief Answer:
Don't worry.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Don't worry. There are home pregnancy kits available. The appearance of 2 lines indicates positive pregnancy test. If positive, get an early pregnancy scan to see for intrauterine pregnancy. If the gestational age is less than 7 weeks, medical methods of termination can be opted after consulting your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Good day.
