What Are The Black Dots Seen In Pre-ejaculatory Fluid?

default
Posted on Fri, 9 Oct 2015
Question: Pre ejaculate under microscope. I saw no sperm in it or at least no moving sperm. After I kept looking for a while I started to see tiny tiny black dots not very many and they seemed to be smaller than sperm at least the sperm in ejaculate and no tail that I could see I had it magnified at 400x so I feel like if there were sperm I would see them?

Brief Answer:
Yes.But staining techniques will be better

Detailed Answer:
Hello there

Sperm or its condensed chromatin in the preejaculatecan be seen even after 3 months of abstinence from sexual activity.the black dots are the vital DNA part that fertilizes with the ovum..without or in abnormal conditions, the spermatozoa loses it viability and even dies.If you magnify upto 400microns,you may see the complete sperm with all parts..

Hope I was helpful.Feel free to ask further queries or else close the discussion by rating it..

Can I show you pictures of what I saw I have two ones pre ejaculate and ones ejaculate about 2 days old I waited for them to die off so I could see if what I was seeing in pre ejaculate was dead sperm. The tiny dots in pre ejaculate were never moving. I took the picture the sample was probably 10-20 minutes old. Can I show you them to get your input?

Because I dont think its sperm I think its dust on the slide or something I feel like if it was sperm it would move at least a tiny bit but it never did I I did like 50 samples. None of which contained moving objects.

Brief Answer:
Staining causes impregnation..Can't say quality of sperms

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Active motility vanishes with Nile blue stain..

However you can see there two sperms which are being made..

The preejaculate sample (Imag0049)contained minute particles which are DNA information in the inter phase of spermatogenesis.

The ejaculate sample( Imag0050)do contain a sperm that's in transit..You can see the ferning pattern which is suggestive of active spermiogenesis.

Hope this helps. If any further queries feel free to ask..Also you may ask directly @ bit.ly/Dr-Senduran

Hello there

Thanks for following up.

No sperms were there..Only the fluid mimics as small ferns from which the spermatid release and further matures into a viable sperm.
