Suggest Ways To Overcome Low Self Esteem
Question: My daughter, 42, had problems in school in the past, she was also very shy and with very low self confidence. She has tendency to moving things to do for later, not finishing what she starts, has problems with doing anything a bit complex, is very infantile and lost twice the job during last 6 months. Are these symptoms of some autism? Are there any medications to help her? Now there are also marital problems because of her losing these jobs. She is depressed now and lives in fear..

I can assure you that your daughter does not have autism. However, she does clearly have significant problems with self-esteem, perhaps a learning disorder, anxiety, and relationship issues. She may also be struggling with clinical depression.
There are medications that can treat anxiety and depression -- the antidepressants. I recommend starting with either escitalopram or sertraline. Either would be likely to help her. To overcome social anxiety and issues with work and marriage, she needs psychotherapy. Once weekly therapy for a period of 9 months or so should help her approach these difficulties better.

Social anxiety and anxiety in general are highly heritable, so the genetics in your family tree are probably playing a role here. However, this is completely treatable with a combination of SSRI antidepressant treatment (such as escitalopram) combined with psychotherapy. She will get better with these interventions.

My mother had social issues, she became an alcoholic late in life. I have anxiety issues all my hard life and I am socially withdrawn. I have problems how to talk to people, what about etc.
So, I am afraid that my daughter inherited her problems.
