Suggest Treatment For Withdrawal Symptoms Of Cymbalta

Question: 69 year old female, on Cymbalta for one year. Missed three doses, had neurological and intestinal effects. Been back on meds for 2 days. Feel a lot of depression. Am I starting back at the beginning of taking the med because I missed 3 days?

I can understand your problem. You just missed 3 doses and though this could have caused withdrawal symptoms but restarting the drug again would not affect the pharmacological actions. You will see improvement in your symptoms again in a couple of days. The depressed mood is more due to psychological reasons rather than due to changed efficacy of drug.


You are not starting back at the beginning of taking the medicine. So no need to worry.
