Brief Answer:
Fordyce spots. Medical treatment or radio frequency ablation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome and thanks for posting your query to the forum.

I can understand your concern for the Fordyce spots on your upper lip.

I have diligently examined the picture and can make out that few of the eruptions are quite prominent.

These Fordyce spots are formed due to blockage of the oil glands over the skin. As the skin of the lip are is quite thin so many a times these are quite prominent in its appearance.

There is nothing to be worried about the same as these never leads to any other problem. The only trouble is the cosmetic appearance.

In my patients I suggest them two modes of treatments. The one is application of Adapalene gel. This is to be applied at night time. I suggest my patients to apply with a match stick so that there should not be over application of the gel. It is to be applied exactly over the affected area as a small dot or point. Care is taken to dry up the area. Around 3 to 4 weeks of application is sufficient.

If these are not getting reduced by the medical treatment then I prefer to do radio frequency ablation of the affected area. It is also a simple method which gives immediate relief. For the same you can meet a dermatologist in person and get further directions.

I hope this helps.
