Question: I have had a sudden onset of vertigo yesterday, after I turned to my left side. Now, even when I slightly look that way, I become overly dizzy, even while in bed. I have Meniere's syndrome, but I haven't had an attack for over 15 yrs. and rarely need Meclizine. My ear Dr. felt that it was due to swelling that I have in my body, which I have a lot of and I have treated that with Maxzide. I am a female. Age 63.
I have ringing in the ears, but that has been continual since I received my diagnosis. I have TMJ on my left side too.

I meant, I've had ringing of the ears, since about 15 plus years ago, when I first reeeived my diagnosis of Meniere's syndrome.
I have thought about this and the dizziness came on so suddenly. I have had some problems with fluid retention. My weight has varied. I was down to 167 lbs., but over the past month, then my weight has fluctuated. It worsens when I travel, which we had to go to a funeral. My weight today was 175.6. Yesterday, it was 173.4. When we came home from our trip, then it was 179.6. I have had 4 plus pitting edema when we returned home, but yesterday, I only had trace amount of edema. I had about 1 plus edema today. But, yesterday, when the dizziness occurred, then I had no edema. I debated whether what I had was labyrinthitis. I've had quite a bit of sinus congestion, due to allergies. I take Xyzal, but I haven't taken it lately.
Did you see my other data re: my health, such as allergies, TMJ, and my problems with overall edema, and Meniere's syndrome? Is any of that relevant to the diagnosis given?
