Posted on Thu, 9 Oct 2014
Question: For a few weeks now I've had a heating sensation on top of my head or my forehead. It feels like those parts of my head are warming up or some hot air moving around. Every now and then it will cool down like an ice pack was placed on it. when this happens the heating feeling will stops leaving a nagging pounding in either areas of my head. It's not painful, though I would feel a sharp headache come through every now and then. Thanks so much for your help!

Brief Answer:
Symptoms are suggestive of vascular headache.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms. These are suggestive of vascular headaches.

As of now, you may be started on beta blockers or divalproex or topiramate tablets to reduce the severity and frequency of these episodes.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.
