Suggest Treatment For Urticarial Skin Rash On Torso
Question: I get episodes of florid bright red hot delineated rash on torso; very itchy and a bit painful. Between episodes slight brownish rash and itchy. Much worse recently, no cause that I can think of. Otherwise medically very fit, no medical conditions, but I think the "episodes" are associated with mild fatigue.

It would be helpful if you can provide some good quality close up pictures .
From the picture you have provided ,I can see some urticarial rash which is suggestive of a generalised body allergic condition .
Have you been taking any pain killers or antibiotics ? Or any recent illness like fever ,cough ,cold ,urine or abdominal infection?

I meant to add that the rash occurs only on the torso, mainly lateral and anterior; only mild itching over the lower back,
I do not take any medication, and do not use any skin products

You seem to have developed an urticarial skin rash .
Now this is basically a generalised allergic rash .
It can occur due to various reasons like drugs ,certain food stuffs or any body infections like cough ,cold,urine or stool infections .
You might need to take regular treatment for the same .
Take some oral antihistamines like Benadryl or levocetrizine regularly for two to three weeks to control the allergy .
Avoid taking any antibiotics or pain killers .
Avoid outside or canned foods for sometime .
Try to see if the allergic rash is more after any specific food items .
This will take care of the allergen and the medicines will slowly control the rash .
In case the rash still persists or increase ,you might need certain tests like a complete hemogram,thyroid profile,urine and stool examinations.
