doctor1 MD

Hi XXXXXX,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

Your child's rash is looking like a skin allergic rash as it was itchy and responded to oral antihistamine.

Hi, I have a small hard spot/lump on my shin, about the size of the head of a pen. Its not painful and is only itchy if i irritate it by prodding it, and is the same colour as the rest of my skin, unless I irritate it and it turns red. At first I thought it was an ingrown hair but I ve tried to locate a hair and cant see one. What could this be?

doctor1 MD

If it is not an ingrown hair, it can be an isolated rash from a bug bite (when you were asleep or did not notice). It could also be an isolated allergic rash or the onset of a folliculitis (boil) or infected sebaceous glands...

Hi, I have a mounth old baby girl. About three weeks ago she started to get red spots on her cheeks. It first looked like a heat rash, but it didn't go away! The we tought it was because of to much acid! We gave her some baby acid, it help for 2 days, but then it got more worse. It looks like a red crust, and then it makes a kind of blister. it started in her cheeks, then spread to her forehead... Now it is all over her cheeks, forehead, sculp, ears even in her neck and started on her chest aswell! They say I must change from Lactogen formula milk to Isomill But I've been giving her lactogen since birth. Is it possible for her to be allergic to lactogen?
