I was using the intermittent catheters 6-7 times a day. I didn't like the fact that insertion was clean technique vs. sterile. Cathing away from home was problematic because of lack of privacy and unsanitary conditions in public restrooms. My doctor switched me to Foley catheters which I change at least every 4 weeks. But after finding the Bard TOUCHLESS® Plus, Vinyl, Unisex, 1100cc Collection Chamber, PVI Swabs, Latex-free gloves, Underpad, product number 4A5146 I would like to use it instead of a Foley.

I consulted a urologist who did all of the tests available from cystoscopy to a urodynamic study, plus several others. None of the tests could find what was causing it. So now, it's urinary retention, idiopathic. The only thing he found was a slightly enlarged prostate which was not narrowing my prostatic urethra enough to interfere with urine flow.

I'm taking Atenolol, Lasix, Aldactone, Lantus, Flowmax and Poscar.

The only surgery discussed was a supra pubic catheter.

Thanks,

Lyndol

Brief Answer:
Online prescription neither legal not accepted.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for writing back,

Yo are right indeed foley's is hard to manage plus it get infected frequently and heard to travel with it.

I would hereby inform you that online prescrptions would not be accepted by your insurance , we are here to guide you to find best medical care you can get.

As per the protocol I can not prescribe you medicines or any instrument online. Besides the pharmacies do not accept any online prescriptions as the patient hasn't undergone physical examination.

But yes I can tell you ways to get these kits.

1) You can visit a G.P and discuss about the problem , he can prescribe you the kits and insurrance plus pharmacies will accept it.

2) There are some paramedic clinics for things like folley change, stoma washing , bandage change etc they can provide you or prescribe you with the kit.

3)when ever you visit your urologist again ask him for prescription plus any other option other than supra pubic or folleys .

I wish you the very best of luck.

Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
