Please provide further info

Hello, XXXXXXX

I can certainly understand your concerns.

As per your symptoms, the diagnosis is clear cut Urinary incontinence.

The actual cause can be established after assessing your medical history completely.

I have gone through your query in detail and uploaded images.

I would like to know if you have been through pregnancy earlier?

Had any history of surgery?

Once I receive the above info, I can guide you appropriately.

Thank you.

Hi Doctor,

Prior to this I had 2 UTIs before. For past 4-5 months I am having difficulty in emptying bowel completely .I visited several doctors after that and had colonscopy once, but they ruled out any problem. My colonscopy had been a painful one even after local anethesia. But following that,I am having pain mostly in left side of abdomen:below left rib cage, pressure and pain like feeling in lower abdomen and abdomen occasionaly.I never had surgery or pregnancy before. Is my urine test normal?Bcoz doc after listening my symptons provided UTI medication.Am I suffering from UTI?

Brief Answer:
Possible Urge incontinence?Need an Urodynamic study

Detailed Answer:
Hello, XXXXXXX

I am extremely apologetic for my delayed response, considering my hectic work schedule.

As of now, you seem to have mild UTI with2-3 pus cells/HPF.This is not a major issue. You are placed on antibiotics and will be soon cured.

The frequent UTI's in your case are related to underlying Urinary incontinence.

Do you mean Cystoscopy for Colonoscopy??? Please clarify.

You possibly seem to have Urge Incontinence.

I advise you to get a complete Urodynamic study at the earliest.

Urodynamics is a means of evaluating the pressure-flow relationship between the bladder and the urethra for the purpose of defining the functional status of the lower urinary tract. The ultimate goal of urodynamics is to aid in the correct diagnosis based on pathophysiology.

Cystoscopy does not always reveal the underlying cause and is not sensitive in young girls like you who had no obstetrical or urosurgical history.

Further management is based on the test results.

Urge incontinence can be treated pretty well with high success rate.Hence do not worry.

A combination of diet, pelvic exercise and drugs will work efficiently in your case.

The need for any surgical correction is based on results on the Urodynamic study.

Post your further queries if any,
Thank you.
