Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of UTI

Question: I have been having issues with having to urinate frequently and it's urgent when I have to go. My bladder feels full all the time and often causes pain if I can't get to the bathroom fast enough. My abdomen has gotten huge in the last year, not sure if that has anything to do with it but I don't think it's regular weight gain. I've been to the urgi care recently thinking I may have had a UTI and they prescribed antibiotics which didn't change the symptoms at all and when they called with the results they said there was no infection or bad bacteria but they detected blood in my urine & suggested I see my PCP. I know for certain the blood isn't from a period, as I haven't had one since 1/26/17.

Frequency for urination ,urgency and blood in urine are typical symptoms of UTI more specifically Cystitis.

Get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like
Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate
antibiotics as per culture report.

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water.To keep your urine dilute This will help to control dysuria.
