Brief Answer:
Has his voice changed?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this swollen vocal cords. If for real the cords are swollen, then he would have a rogue voice. Can you confirm this to me?

Acid reflux can cause swollen vocal cords. Treatment would consist in suppressing this with diet and lifestyle modification alongside medications like omeprazole. This would lead to gradual improvement and no other treatment is needed. However, if this is not the cause of the swollen cords, there would be no response to this treatment and we would need to identify the exact cause and address accordingly.

I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Brief Answer:
Please, continue with omeprazole and let's review later!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

This is more suggestive gastric reflux. Let's monitor the treatment review to see how well you are improving. If we are not getting great results, then we would be going for more investigations and treatment review.

I wish you well.
