Question: I woke up saturday with a swollen red gum on one tooth it hurts really bad. Ive tried saline rinse, mouth wash, water pik nothing works. Dentist not avail

I am really scared because my gums have been swollen for 3 days now and i have tried water pik, salt water, mouth wash, hydrogen peroxide, cold compress, ibuprofen, it still hurts and today is labor day and i cant go to the dentist they are closed. There is pus comig out of it and i have tried everything what can i do?

I reviewed your history and the photo attached with the question.
This shows a dental abscess. It is affecting the gingiva of the teeth hence it is also called as gingival abscess.
This is usually caused by infection by bacteria. The treatment is by use of antibiotics. You can start using broad spectrum antibiotics like amoxycyllin along with oral anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen which you are using.
Along with this topical antiseptic and analgesic preparations like chlorhexidine will provide symptomatic relief.

If the abscess is not responding it requires treatment by drainage by a dentist.

Hence as of now you can start treatment with antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs and do consult your dentist for definitive treatment.
