Question: I am not certain if I broke my toe, I dropped a 20lb of marble on it. If you break it can you still bend it? besides the swelling I can still move it. As well I've continued to put pressure and ice it but its till oozing both clear fluid and blood 6hrs later.

Brief Answer:
Not thinking for fracture....

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the accident you had.

1. If the toe would be broken, you won't be able to bend it or the pain would be unbearable.

The fact that you are still bending although the swelling clearly indicates that it is not fractured. Perhaps contusion due to the heavy marble dropped on your toe. X-ray of the toe would determine whether it is really fractured or just swelling.

2. I advise to continue applying ice and cold compresses locally for the next 48 hours (since the accident occurred).

Immobilization of the toe is also recommended for a few days (up to 2 weeks after the accident).

3. With regards to blood and clear fluid oozed, I can admit that 6 hrs is not enough to see improvement. Within the next 24 hours you can start noticing them.

All the best! Wish fast recovery!
